Associació Catalana de Ceràmica
The Catalan Ceramics Association (ACdC) is a non-profit organization that promotes the study, dissemination and conservation of ceramics of historical and traditional interest. To this end, the association organizes research, training and dissemination activities to promote knowledge and the preservation of ceramic heritage.
Our activities
We organize various activities to promote the study and dissemination of ceramics as historical and cultural heritage. Such as guided tours of museums and collections, piece identification sessions, collaborative monographic exhibitions with museums and foundations, and collectors' meetings.

At an academic and museum level, it organizes informative discussions of the artistic world with ceramics as a connecting link, creates collaborative academic events to disseminate knowledge about Catalan ceramics and cooperates with museums and institutions in the preservation of ceramic heritage.
Our publications
The preserved fruit of our work is the Association Bulletin, our reference magazine published from 1979 to the present. This publication, considered the flagship of the entity, has evolved over the years in content and format, becoming a reference for ceramic lovers. In addition, the Association publishes research, dissemination and specialized catalogs, thus contributing to the preservation and dissemination of ceramic heritage.
The Library
The library of the Catalan Ceramics Association (ACdC) is at the service of all its members. Here you can consult the availability of the currently more than two thousand publications, including books and magazines specialized in ceramics.
Dictionary
An essential tool for professionals, students and ceramic enthusiasts, which compiles all the specific vocabulary of this artistic and technical field. This dictionary offers precise definitions of traditional and contemporary terms related to materials, shapes (and what they are called depending on the region), techniques, production and decoration processes of ceramics, as well as historical and stylistic concepts specific to Catalan and international ceramics. The dictionary contributes to the adequate cataloguing and description of ceramic heritage, facilitating a better understanding and transmission of knowledge within the sector.
Pieces to be identified
This section is presented as a collaborative space where images of ceramic pieces of uncertain origin are displayed that have been presented by our members during the identification sessions. With the consent of the owners, these pieces are published on our website with the aim of receiving contributions from experts, collectors and people knowledgeable in the sector who can contribute to their correct cataloguing. This space encourages cooperation and shared knowledge.
